| Bio: | This morning around 2:57, I got a call on my cell phone from an unidentifiable number. Groggy and unwilling to make the required effort to emit a traditional greeting sound into the phone, I placed it back on the floor and settled nicely into a grim state of mind. Rain was coming down heavily, and I remembered the perishable items that were left outside the day before. Owing mainly to sustained sounds of water attacking pavement and roofing tiles, intrusive thoughts of decaying material goods tapered off until a new dream state was reached. Swollen fingers tied tightly to large wooden beams beneath a pier far offshore with waves crashing and an overwhelming fear of arms outstretched until snapping into release amidst a sea unable to relent. Upon waking, I placed a sweaty hand on the phone and picked it up to check the voice message. The voice was my own, calling from a later date aboard a ship and simply stating "hang on."
